Recently, I have taken an interest for the Gaslands game. From its creator: “Gaslands is a tabletop game of post-apocalyptic vehicular mayhem. With fast and cinematic rules, it is designed to be played with toy cars, allowing players to ram, skid and race their way through the wreckage of a burnt-out Earth. Gaslands is published by Osprey Games. Learn more about the game here.” This game reminded me of a favorite from my childhoold: Car Wars from Steve Jackson Games. However, since Steve Jackson has been more interested in Munchkin than on my childhood game, I think I will give some of my attention to this new Gaslands game.
Over the next few days I will try to keep you posted on my incursion into this game and the accessories (fun elements) I use to enhance my gaming experience.
Fortunately, one of the 3D Designers I associate with (SableBadger on Thingiverse) created weapons, armor and accessories of suitable size for the game and I am making it now available to the public through my Etsy.com storefront.
I was very happy to see the cars Paul has converted using the bits and pieces we provide. One of the greatest feelings is when something you provide is being used in a way better than you intended it. Go to his blog and take a look at the cars he has modeled. I think he has optimized the use of time to create amazing game pieces that sure will give him, his family and friends years of enjoyment.
If you have your own 3D Printer, go ahead and download them from SableBadger on thingiverse. The picture below gives you an idea of the options you can find there. However, if you do not have a 3D printer, please browse the ones I sell through Etsy.
Besides the products I do offer on my Etsy Storefront, I recommend a great playmat by inked playmats – mouse-pad like and it gives a lot of character to your first games of Gaslands. See picture below. Order from this link. The 4’x4′ version is best.
I will try to keep you up to date on my adventures on this new game.
